Cambodia, Siem Reap, Angkor Site. This is my country, I was born there in December 1971 in Phnom Penh. Child of Lon, Cambodian, and Marcel, French. I left my country too early, I was only 5 years old. As soon as the plane lands I feel at home. It is inexplicable and very strange. This is my country and I love it. This is not the first time that I have come back. It is a country still under corruption, democracy is only one on the surface and the inhabitants have to improvise to live and survive but here it is, the roots are there. For a photographer, immortalizing Angkor is a very special adventure. Every year the very famous ANGKOR PHOTO FESTIVAL & WORKSHOP takes place in Phnom Penh. It's in December.
